So, for our second date we went to THOR at the Rivington hotel which is a place I have been to a few times and really enjoy. We sat on the sofas in the lounge area up front and ordered some wine. He showed up looking handsome as usual and he was wearing jeans, a belt with sailboats on it, and a blue button down shirt. We chatted about our days and he helped me with my Italian. He really loved the place I choose and felt very comfortable there. There was a pesky mosquito that didn’t want to go away and we kept choo-ing it away during the entire evening. As time lingered on we began to get hungry so we ordered truffle fries, lobster bisque and octopus salad. The food there never disappoints and we shared our food and drank more wine. By this time, it was getting dark and the place started to get a bit busier. We were feeling full and the wine was taking its toll. He started rubbing my hands and arms and was being a little flirtatious but not in an annoying way. He has beautiful hands by the way and they are soft just as a surgeon’s hands should be. I quite enjoyed it actually because unlike him, most European’s can get a little cheesy when they flirt. He leaned in a told me I smelled nice, so I returned the favor by getting closer to him and telling him he smelled nice too. He didn’t smell like cologne at all, but clean as though he just got out of the shower..Thats my favorite! So after that, I began to lean on him and he had his arm around me and we literally were laying on the sofa like we were at home or something off in our own world. My heart started racing and I got very quiet. He proceeded to ask me what I was thinking about, and I responded with a casual “ nothing”. He asked me this quite a few times over the course of the evening each time I got quiet for a little while. I could tell we were both getting more comfortable sharing our personal space with each other and I was wondering if there could be some potential with this man. So around 10 pm we decided to leave. He walked me home and we ended up at my front door just like last time, only this time he pulled me toward him and he kissed me☺ After our kiss I looked at him and smiled like a shy little girl. I wasn’t really expecting it and he told me that someone told him that American’s usually wait till the 3rd date to kiss (whoever told him that is stupid) but he said that he didn’t want to wait and did what he felt. I’m glad he doesn’t listen to dumb advice. The kiss wasn’t AMAZING, but I could tell he was a little nervous. Maybe it will be better next time. We’ll see….
