The European Doctor

Ok so, I made a date with the European doctor and we decided to meet for Dinner at Gemma. As I was leaving my apt, he texted me to tell me he was running 15 minutes late. Great! I thought, I’m going to have to sit at the bar and wait for this dude like a freakin idiot. Whatever, so I walked over and took my time especially since I was wearing the Chanel ostrich pumps. I arrived and the place was packed. I was a little worried that we wouldn’t get a table since Gemma doesn’t take reservations. Anyway so I waited at the bar and when he showed up we checked in. He was handsome and was wearing jeans, and a blue collared shirt with his initials embroidered on the lower left side of his body. He was tall and had gorgeous blue eyes. We were actually seated pretty promptly. We had some amazing wine, and spoke Italian. He had sort of a sweet boyish charm about him and I loved the way he looked at me. We enjoyed some amazing food followed by an even more amazing dessert. I had steamed chocolate and he had the panna cotta. As the night lingered the restaurant started to clear out a bit and I was stuffed. He needed to get up at 6 am because well, he’s a surgeon and I was pretty tired as well. We exited and stood outside for a brief moment. I wasn’t sure what he was thinking but then he offered to walk me home. What a gentleman! So we walked and talked in both English and Italian at this point and I gave him a small tour of my neighborhood. About 15 minutes later we were at my doorstep and I was waiting to see if he was going to try to kiss me. He didn’t. He actually took both of my hands in his and told me how great of time he had and he was eager to see me again. This was kinda weird. I have dated many European men and usually they are very fast and want to spend the night with me after the first date. I was really refreshed by his approach and by not attempting to take advantage of me. We said our goodnights and he said he would call me in the morning because he wanted to have breakfast with me. I said sure, just give me a call and we will take it from there. More to come on this one
