The Investment Banker

The second date of today was with The Investment Banker. This was totally random and un-planned. I was walking to the bank and was going to pick up some wine after for Laura’s Birthday party when The Investment banker called. We chatted for a bit before he suggested that we meet for coffee..go figure..LOL. He by the way gives good phone (i.e. nice voice and really entertaining to talk to) So We met up at 5:15 at the Bean. I sat outside on the bench waiting for him. I noticed this guy walk by a couple times as if he were lost or looking for someone. I had never met him before and didn’t know what he looked like (blind date from CL) and in my mind as I saw him pass by a couple times and then stand waiting by the lamp post, I was thinking “ Oh God please don’t let that be him” He wasn’t ugly, but I wasn’t totally attracted to him. Anyway, it did obviously turn out to be him. So we greet and go inside and order our coffee. We then proceed to take a walk around the neighborhood to chat and hang out a while. He tells me more about what he does, a little about his family, and his hobbies, etc. He turned out to be a pretty great guy and totally down to earth for someone who clearly makes millions of dollars a year. By the way, did I mention he collects luxury vehicle and real estate. While we were walking, we dipped into a local wine shop so I can pick up some wine and he refused to let me pay for it even though he wasn’t even going to the party with me. I was pretty impressed by this not to mention the fact that he opened his car door for me when offered me a ride home (I was only about 3 or 4 blocks away from home) He was very sweet and charming and we made plans to go out again next week before he flies out to Europe for work.
