It was an awful day and rainy so Mr. Stunning blue eyes offered to pick me up in his car to drive together to I coppi, an Italian restaurant in the East village. He arrives a bit late and I was starving but was happy to see him. It doesn’t take us long to get there but had some trouble finding parking. Once inside the place, I noticed that there was nobody there. The place was empty except one other party of 2 having dinner. I was hoping that it was empty because of the bad weather and people decided to stay in and not because the food was bad. I mean I’d never heard of this place and it was located only a few blocks from my apt. Anyway, we are obviously seated immediately and the waiter gives us some bread which I believe was rather stale, but I ate it anyway because I was starving like a hostage. For dinner I had the seafood spaghetti and he had the crab stuffed ravioli. Both dishes were quite divine especially his. I’d definitely go back for that. Anyway, we chat about everything from our messed up families, to the Jewish holidays, to what we both had been up to over the past month. It’s been a while since we hung out and I had to cancel our last date because I messed up my ankle. I think it was a stiletto induced injury but not certain. We shared some wine ,which was really good. It was kinda chilly where we were seated which was in the garden area in back but it was so cute there. The lights and the décor made it feel really rustic. Anyway, Mr. Stunning blues was sweet, and kind as usual and he asked me out Friday night, which I told him I’d have to let him know about. The date wasn’t all that exciting, but more of just a laid back evening with pleasant conversation. So after dessert, we leave. He opens the car door for me and drive back to my apt. We share a little peck and I go home alone.
